October 7, 2024 — 7:28 AM — 18-Wheeler Sidewalk & Driveway Blockage

  • An 18-wheeler with trailer attempted to back into the loading dock at 7:28 AM
  • The front of the truck was parked on the sidewalk, partially blocking a neighbor's driveway
  • The truck completely obstructed the road directly in front of a residential bedroom window

Violations: Illegal parking on sidewalk, blocking a private driveway, obstructing public roadway

Summary: Large commercial vehicle parked across sidewalk and driveway at 7:28 AM, disrupting residential access.

March 3, 2026 — 2:40 PM — Phone Slap Assault

  • While telling an idling 18-wheeler driver to turn his engine off, a male from a second truck inserted himself into the conversation
  • The male became hostile, told complainant to "go get a job" and "stop bothering people"
  • After being told to mind his own business, he approached aggressively, used a slur, and slapped the phone out of complainant's hand, knocking it to the ground
  • The entire confrontation was captured on video

Action Taken: No police report filed; damage limited to phone

Summary: Unprovoked physical assault and verbal abuse on video during an idling enforcement confrontation.

  • Responding officer: Officer Nick Turner, Elizabeth PD
  • Officer's on-scene actions: documented sidewalk-parking violations, called tow for the Enterprise rental box-truck, observed multiple-truck idling.
  • 2026-05-13 — Resident called Elizabeth PD to formally commend Officer Turner's response. Desk sergeant noted that resident wanted to thank the department officially for sending Turner; said this was unusual (most calls are complaints) and that he would write up the commendation.
